I was happy to visit the new installation of two of my paintings in the new Choctaw Nation Casino SkyTower in Durant, Oklahoma. This yellow painting is titled "Okhina Apokni, Grandmother River."

The wide meanders of old rivers create sinuous curves like those of the Mississippi River. "the older the river gets, the more curves the river will have."

I'm proud of my Tribe for commissioning so many great Choctaw artists to make this place a destination for art and entertainment! Look closely to find the subtle female shape. Land=Self
